Hélène LABADIE

1991

Works and lives in Paris

Hélène Labadie is an artist and object designer whose creations seem to be caught between two disciplines.
She mixes ceramics and painting on paper to create lamp-objects inspired by American film noir of the 1980s.
The white liquid glaze of the ceramics enters into a dialogue with the painted forms borrowed from pop culture imagery.

She has exhibited at the Saint Etienne Biennial, Amélie Maison d’art, Villa Belleville, Collectible Fair in Brussels, the Bienvenue Art fair organised by the Lily Robert gallery, the Café des Glaces art centre

in Tonnerre and most recently at the Ricard Foundation in 2021.
